MCX Marketplace

MCX Marketplace — the B2B2X marketplace for digital services beyond connectivity.

The platform layer that lets your MVNO offer education, gaming, sports, health, financial services, and lifestyle bundles to your subscribers — under your brand, billed through your MVNO billing, and monetised alongside your connectivity revenue.

Connectivity is the entry product. The revenue and the retention live in what you bundle alongside it. MCX Marketplace is one of four MCX platform modules, built on Tecnotree Moments — the B2B2X digital marketplace platform recognised in the 2025 Gartner Market Guide for CSP B2B Digital Marketplace Solutions and in two 2025 Gartner Hype Cycle reports.

Why connectivity alone is not the business case.

Most institutional MVNO launches that achieve durable economics globally do not survive on connectivity ARPU. They survive on the digital services bundled alongside connectivity — content, education, healthcare, sports, gaming, financial services — that turn a SIM relationship into a daily-touchpoint relationship and unlock revenue per subscriber two to five times higher than pure connectivity.

The most successful global financial-services and brand-led MVNOs operate as B2B2X businesses. The MVNO is the channel; the subscriber is the customer; the bundled digital services are the proposition. The connectivity layer enables everything else.

MCX Marketplace is built for MVNOs who want to operate at that layer — not just resell minutes and megabytes, but offer a digital lifestyle proposition under their brand.

Capabilities

What MCX Marketplace does.

Six core responsibilities. Each is operator-grade, each is configurable per MVNO, each integrates with the rest of the MCX platform.

Partner ecosystem and product catalogue

A pre-integrated catalogue of digital service partners across education, gaming, sports, health, fintech, and lifestyle. MVNOs select which partners to surface to their subscribers and how to bundle their offerings.

Subscription management

Subscribe, fulfill, monetise, engage — the full subscription lifecycle handled at the platform layer. Subscribers manage their bundles through the MVNO’s app or self-care portal; MVNOs manage product configuration through MCX Marketplace administration.

Bundle configuration

MVNOs design bundles combining connectivity with digital services — student bundles, family bundles, sports bundles, premium bundles, enterprise bundles. Bundle rules, eligibility, and pricing are MVNO-controlled.

Loyalty and rewards

Earn-and-burn loyalty mechanics built into the marketplace. Subscribers earn points on connectivity and bundled services; points redeem for upgrades, additional services, or cashback. MVNOs configure loyalty rules per their brand strategy.

Campaign management

Multi-channel campaign delivery — SMS, email, in-app, social, push — for partner-led offers, cross-sell, and retention campaigns. AI-driven segmentation and personalisation built in at the platform layer.

Settlement and revenue share

Revenue allocation across the MVNO, MCX, and digital service partners handled at the platform layer. MVNOs see consolidated revenue reporting; settlement with partners happens automatically per the configured commercial terms.

Verticals

The verticals MCX Marketplace covers.

Five verticals are pre-integrated through Tecnotree Moments. Each can be activated per MVNO proposition; MVNOs do not need to integrate partners individually.

Vertical 01

Education and Edutech

Curriculum-aligned learning content, vocational and skills training, university-prep courses, professional development. The vertical works for MVNOs targeting student segments, parents, or workforce upskilling audiences.

Vertical 02

Gaming

Multiplayer mobile games, casual games, AR and VR titles, and gaming-specific data bundles. The vertical works for MVNOs targeting youth, gamer affinity audiences, or operators wanting gaming-led acquisition.

Vertical 03

Sports and Live Content

Live sports streaming, league content, sports celebrity content, and sports-bundle subscriptions. The vertical works for MVNOs targeting sports-fan audiences or operators using sports content as an acquisition channel.

Vertical 04

Health and Wellness

Telemedicine consultations, health monitoring, wellness content, prescription services, and digital pharmacy integrations. The vertical works for MVNOs targeting health-conscious audiences, insurance-bundled propositions, or chronic-condition support programmes.

Vertical 05

Fintech and Lifestyle

Mobile wallet integration, micro-savings, micro-lending, remittance bundles, and lifestyle subscription services. The vertical works for bank and fintech MVNOs extending their existing financial relationship into a connectivity-plus-fintech proposition.

Additional verticals — IoT, industry-specific bundles, B2B procurement marketplaces — are configurable for MVNOs whose proposition extends beyond consumer audiences.

Underlying platform

Built on Tecnotree Moments.

MCX Marketplace is not a new build. It is Tecnotree Moments — the B2B2X digital marketplace platform that Gartner has recognised in the 2025 Market Guide for CSP B2B Digital Marketplace Solutions and in two 2025 Gartner Hype Cycle reports — operated under MCX’s MVNO-serving architecture.

Tecnotree Moments at a glance

  • Recognised in the 2025 Gartner Market Guide for CSP B2B Digital Marketplace Solutions as a Representative Vendor.
  • Recognised in the 2025 Gartner Hype Cycle for Enterprise Communication Services and the 2025 Gartner Hype Cycle for Operations and Automation in the Communications Industry.
  • AI-native, cloud-native, API-first architecture. Built on TM Forum Open Digital Architecture with 59 certified Open APIs.
  • Deployed by CSPs internationally for B2B and B2B2X commerce across healthcare, education, OTT, gaming, and financial services.
  • Pre-integrated partner ecosystem with content, education, gaming, sports, and lifestyle providers — both global brands and local market-specific partners.

What this means operationally

The marketplace layer is the same platform that institutional CSPs internationally use to operate B2B2X commerce at scale. MVNOs on MCX inherit the platform’s partner ecosystem, the AI-driven campaign management, the subscription orchestration, and the settlement infrastructure — without integrating partners themselves.

Illustrative configurations

Three example MVNO configurations.

Each MVNO configures MCX Marketplace differently. Three illustrative configurations show the range.

Example A — A bank-led MVNO using Marketplace for premium customer retention.

A Nigerian Tier-1 bank launches its MVNO with a premium-tier proposition. Connectivity is bundled with sports content, financial wellness courses, and a digital pharmacy partnership. Loyalty points accrue on both card spend and MVNO usage. The marketplace deepens the bank-customer relationship far beyond what either banking or connectivity alone could deliver.

Example B — A consumer-brand MVNO using Marketplace as a loyalty extension.

A Nigerian retail group launches its MVNO. Connectivity is bundled with retail-branded loyalty mechanics. The marketplace adds entertainment subscriptions (sports, music, gaming) as cashback rewards on retail spend. Subscribers earn airtime, redeem for content, and remain in the retail brand’s daily orbit.

Example C — A youth-focused MVNO using Marketplace as the proposition itself.

A youth-focused MVNO launches with marketplace-first positioning. Connectivity is the entry; gaming, education, and sports content are the proposition. Bundles are tariff-priced around the content combinations subscribers value most. The marketplace defines the brand, not just supports it.

These are illustrative configurations only — not case studies or testimonials. They describe the range of how MCX Marketplace can be deployed under different MVNO brands and strategies.

Platform map

How MCX Marketplace fits with the rest of the platform.

MCX Marketplace is one of four MCX platform modules. It runs the B2B2X layer. The other three handle the core network, the business systems, and the subscriber onboarding.

All four modules are deployed through MCX Launch Path — the managed onboarding programme. See Launch Path →
