Who we are
An institutional Mobile Virtual Network Enabler, headquartered in Abuja, built for the Nigerian telecom infrastructure gap and the African digital infrastructure opportunity beyond it.
Purpose
Closing the institutional MVNE gap in Nigerian telecoms
Our purpose is to make institutional-grade mobile telecommunications accessible to Nigerian banks, fintechs, consumer brands, enterprise groups, and foreign operators — without requiring them to build their own network, their own BSS, their own SIM provisioning, their own regulatory engagement. We operate the platform layer so they can operate their MVNO brand.
Principles
Operator-grade. Regulator-aligned. Institution-ready.
We build to three principles: operator-grade infrastructure (Tecnotree, WTL Belgium, Huawei, Monty Mobile, VerifyMe Nigeria, Latro — and the Tier-III certified colocation, security, and connectivity underneath), regulator-aligned operations (NCC framework engagement, NDPA-compliant data handling, SIM-registration discipline, lawful-intercept readiness), and institution-ready commercial structure (clear engagement architecture, SLA discipline, scoping-driven onboarding).
Origin
Built by Nigerian telecom operators
MCX was founded in 2023 in Abuja by Nigerian telecom operators with operating experience inside Nigerian MNOs and the broader Nigerian institutional ecosystem. The company was built specifically to address the institutional MVNE gap that emerged when the NCC issued more than 46 MVNO licences but the platform infrastructure to operationalise those licences at institutional grade did not yet exist.
